چکیده

We describe a step toward quantizing deformation theory. The L∞ operad is encoded in a Hochschild cocyle ◦1 in a simple universal algebra (P, ◦0). This Hochschild cocyle can be extended naturally to a star product ⋆ = ◦0+~◦1+~ 2 ◦2+ · · · . The algebraic structure encoded in ⋆ is the properad Ω(coFrob) which, conjecturally, controls a quantization of deformation theory—a theory for which Frobenius algebras replace ordinary commutative parameter rings.

Holomorphic deformation of Hopf algebras and applications to quantum groups

In this article we propose a new and so-called holomorphic deformation scheme for locally convex algebras and Hopf algebras. Essentially we regard converging power series expansion of a deformed product on a locally convex algebra, thus giving the means to actually insert complex values for the deformation parameter. Moreover we establish a topological duality theory for locally convex Hopf alg...

String spectrum of curved string backgrounds obtained by T-duality and shifts of polar angles

A class of exactly solvable string models can be obtained by starting with flat space and combining T-duality and shifts of angular coordinates of several polar planes. The models are the analog of the Lunin-Maldacena β-deformation of the AdS5 × S type IIB string background, which is dual to a Leigh-Strassler deformation of N = 4 Super Yang-Mills Theory. We determine the complete physical strin...

Nambu Dynamics, Deformation Quantization, and Superintegrability

Phase space is a framework ideally suited for quantizing superintegrable systems through the use of deformation methods, as illustrated here by applications to de Sitter and chiral particles. Within this framework, Nambu brackets elegantly incorporate the additional quantum invariants of such models. New results are presented for the non-Abelian quantization of these brackets.

Weak gauge-invariance of dimension two condensate in Yang-Mills theory

We give a formal proof that the space-time average of the vacuum condensate of mass dimension two, i.e., the vacuum expectation value of the squared potential A 2 μ , is gauge invariant in the weak sense that it is independent of the gauge-fixing condition adopted in quantizing the Yang-Mills theory, at least for the small deformation from the generalized Lorentz and the modified Maximal Abelia...
